Smartform and the Marvel Stadium Redevelopment
Smartform are excited to announce our work on the $225m Marvel Stadium Upgrade in Melbourne. The upgrade seeks to revitalise the stadium precinct and public realm and enable improved connectivity between City, Harbour and nearby Southern Cross Station.
The redevelopment of the existing 53,000 seat venue will deliver a range of new General Admission and Premium hospitality and amenity for fans including two new elevated multi-purpose Function Rooms with City Views, lounges, feature Bars, landscaped rooftop terraces all incorporated into two major additions to the existing venue. A stadium upgrade package further includes new team facilities, videoboards, and thematic lighting.
Smartform are providing specialist sports planning, sports architecture, and interior design in collaboration with Grimshaw and a highly experienced consultant team, facilitating stakeholder consultation in partnership with the AFL (Australian Football League), Development Victoria, Sports and Recreation Victoria and the OVGA.
